Fairhaven Police Seek Man Who Robbed Convenience Store with Knife

FAIRHAVEN – Sgt. Kevin Kobza reports that the Fairhaven Police Department is seeking to identify a man who robbed a convenience store while brandishing a knife Monday afternoon.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., police responded to Friendly Farm Convenience, 121 Sconticut Neck Road, for a report of a robbery.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a male suspect entered the store carrying a large hunting knife. He demanded money from the store clerk and subsequently fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported during the incident.

The suspect was described as a white male in his mid-20s, weighing approximately 140 pounds and standing between 5-feet-2-inches to 5-feet-4-inches tall. He was wearing a grey sweatshirt over a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black baseball cap.

The incident was captured by the store’s surveillance cameras, which investigators are reviewing.
